Captain Carl Pollock and his boat, the Centurion

Carl3.JPG

Captain Carl moved to this area in 1996 as a high school football coach.  He has always been drawn to the sea, and has a sense of belonging to it. Maybe it's the influence of Jimmy Buffet, his favorite musician.  Captain Carl has done everything from digging up an old wrecked shrimp boat on Blackbeard Island to rescuing an injured sea turtle adrift in Sapelo Sound.  He was brought up fresh water fishing in the lakes of Georgia and has had no trouble making the change to salt water.   He is a Master Captain, qualified to navigate vessels up to 200 tons.

Brethren of the Coast recently upgraded boats from the Tabasco to the Centurion.  The Centurion, a 22 foot Seaswirl, comfortably fishes four adults, and can accomodate 7 people (plus the captain) for a day of sightseeing or playing at the beach.
